Our Colleges and Universities

“The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education.”

                                                                                                                 — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

AIKCU is proud to support its 18 member colleges and universities. From the earliest days of the commonwealth, independent institutions of higher learning were established in recognition of the value of education in the tradition of the liberal arts.

That rich history is alive today, as our members continue to enlighten and prepare students for a lifetime of learning, to encourage them to tackle the complex issues facing society, and to equip them to contribute to their communities and the world.
