AIKCU has negotiated with technology vendors to establish preferred pricing agreements for AIKCU member campuses on the following technology products. While these are not full business partnerships, the discounts offered through these consortial pricing agreements is valuable for our campuses. Barracuda Products

AIKCU has negotiated special pricing for AIKCU members for Barracuda products through their authorized Kentucky reseller, Pomeroy IT Solutions. Barracuda provides a series of firewall products and updates for spam, spyware, web filtering, and IM. The Pomeroy contact for orders and questions is:

Bradford Networks

AIKCU has negotiated an agreement with Bradford Networks that offers significant discount pricing to AIKCU member campuses. Covered under this discount is Bradford Networks’ Campus Manager product, a comprehensive Network Access Control solution offering enterprise role-based identity management, endpoint compliance verification and usage policy enforcement capabilities across wired, wireless or VPN connections. This is an exclusive agreement for AIKCU members. Bradford Networks has asked that this pricing schedule be kept confidential among AIKCU members and that the details not be shared. AIKCU members should purchase through an authorized Bradford Networks partner. A preferred authorized partner for Kentucky is Matrix Integration. Matrix worked with AIKCU in developing and securing this agreement and has already helped Transylvania University take advantage of this pricing. Bell Industries, one of AIKCU’s business partners, is also an authorized partner for Bradford Networks.

Cisco Products

AIKCU has worked with Matrix Integration, an authorized Cisco Systems reseller, to develop a pricing agreement for consistent discounts on Cisco products that are comparable with the University of Kentucky’s Cisco pricing contract. This agreement provides a single discount schedule for all Cisco networking products excluding Smartnet. The discount is 43% from the most recent mfg. price list for Cisco products. The agreement also provides a single discount schedule for all Cisco network products that are not covered by lifetime warranty. This discount is 14% from the most recent mfg. price list for Cisco Smartnet maintenance. These terms are fixed provided Cisco does not change their existing pricing model. If AIKCU members are working on a project that requires a large procurement of Cisco product, Matrix will work with campuses to explore opportunities for even greater discounts.

McAfee Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware

AIKCU members may purchase McAfee licenses/products at the significantly discounted Kentucky Commonwealth Office of Technology (COT) state contract price (Level J pricing). The state contract pricing is for 2 years of McAfee Anti-virus and Anti-Spyware. Contract info and pricing can be found at the following link: http://technology.ky.gov/security/mcafee_info.htm
