AIKCU has partnered with Richmond-based Kentucky Recycling, Inc. to help member campuses responsibly dispose of electronic waste. Kentucky Recycling offers comprehensive e-waste management and recycling services for obsolete, surplus or end-of-life products. This includes computers and related equipment, consumer electronics equipment, health care equipment, electronic circuit boards and components, and miscellaneous metals and plastics. Kentucky Recycling is “committed to providing solutions for properly recycling end– of –life products or refurbishing and remarketing usable equipment.” Kentucky Recycling helps AIKCU member campuses reduce their environmental impact and ensure their compliance with federal and state hazardous waste regulations by keeping electronic waste out of landfills.
