This one day event will bring together professionals in information technology, instructional technology and design, and libraries to showcase innovations and best practices in higher education. The conference planning committee is currently soliciting proposals for session presentations (see below). We look forward to your participation as presenters and participants. While there is no registration fee, all attendees must register so that we can adequately plan for conference session seating and meals.
CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS (Due March 31, 2017)
Conference tracks will address information technology, instructional technology, and library topics. Proposed sessions can range from specific technologies, emerging technologies, experiences in the implementation and use of technology, technology management, instructional use of technology, library systems/processes, technology policy, etc. The sessions are planned for 45 minutes. Faculty and staff from all AIKCU campuses are encouraged to submit proposals. Sessions that reflect collaboration among IT staff, library staff, and faculty are encouraged. Feel free to team with an AIKCU business partner for any type session, but the proposal should be submitted by the campus and at least one presenter should be a campus faculty or staff. Proposed presentation sessions may have multiple formats – from a single presenter, to a panel discussion, to a facilitated roundtable, etc. The planning committee would again like to encourage those campuses that were 2016 AIKCU Technology Awards nominees and winners to submit presentation proposals.
Proposals will be accepted online with a deadline of March 31, 2017.
The conference planning committee will review all proposals and make selections for the conference’s final agenda. Proposals will be selected based on their relevance to our three focus areas, the judgment of the committee as to their potential interest from attendees, and the total number of available time slots for concurrent sessions. There is no guarantee that all proposals submitted will be accepted. Those submitting proposals will be notified on their acceptance status via email no later than April 15.
