Optimizing Academic Balance (OAB)
In 2016 AIKCU was awarded a major grant from the James Graham Brown Foundation to underwrite a multi-year, strategic analysis of academic programming and operations at participating institutions.
The Optimizing Academic Balance (OAB) process analyzes a broad range of institutional data to provide insights that institutions and boards can use to “redirect scarce resources to increase enrollment, maximize the value of the curriculum, and strengthen institutional viability.” The project was conducted for AIKCU by Ken Hoyt, PhD of the Higher Education Practice.
