Mason Dyer - Director of Communications and Research
Mason coordinates AIKCU’s public relations and communications efforts and manages the data and research needs of the Association. He represents AIKCU on a variety of postsecondary-related committees, including the Council on Postsecondary Education’s Distance Learning Steering Team, Public Relations Officers (PROS) group, and Inter-Alumni Council, and the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority’s Outreach Advisory Team, GoHigherKY.org Steering Team, and Student Financial Aid Advisory Committee. He enjoys working with young people and serves as a Junior Achievement volunteer and as a community representative on the Athens Elementary School (Fayette Co.) Family Resource Center Advisory Council. Mason holds a bachelor’s degree from Centre College, where he double-majored in English and history. After college he completed a stint in AmeriCorps before pursuing graduate work in English at the University of Kentucky. Prior to joining AIKCU Mason worked for Junior Achievement of the Bluegrass in Lexington. He lives in Lexington with his wife Celia, an elementary teacher, and their three young children.
